H H BB  Govinda Swami  is  planning to visit New Goloka  on  June  25 & 26.

H.H. BB Govinda Swami plans to visit our New H.H. B.B. Govinda Swami at New York Ratha Yatra 2007Goloka community on the 25th and 26th of this month. There is plans for him to attend two home programs. Everyone is welcome to come and get association from one of our advanced devotees.  Details are given below.

In the past 13 years Maharaja has invested most of his energy into developing an ISKCON society and the farm community in the post-Soviet, now predominantly Muslim country, Kazakhstan.  Maharaja managed the development of a wonderful community of devotees "Sri Vrndavana Dham" in outskirts of Almaty.  Due to religious intolerance, envy of this successful development and greed for the land whose value increased 20 times over the years, the local government has set its mind on destroying the community and stealing the land. And at this time of need H.H. B.B.Govinda Swami and Kazakhstan devotees are appealing for your help. May the mercy of the Lord Krishna and Srimati Radharani be with you all.

Children's Ratha Yatra 2007

Please join us as we celebrate Lord Jagannatha's Ratha Yatra at the New Goloka Temple, Saturday, July 21st .  We now have the cart shown above parked in the pavilion. It is under construction, and the  idea is to decorate it very nicely for Lord Jagannatha's pleasure, something on the line of what we see at the larger Ratha Yatra around the world.  With this in mind, donations are needed.  Please help 2007 be one of our best yet!

Schedule of Planned Activities:

9:30 - 11:00am - Children's Crafts, etc...

11:00am - Lord Jagannatha cart procession

11:30am - 12;30pm - Entertainment which includes a play, puppet show, and dance performance

12:30pm - Aroti (Children are invited to bring their Jagannatha deities to the temple room for the Aroti)

1:00pm - Feast

What's Happening?  New Goloka Project

We have purchased a storage container. It is 40 ft long, 8 ft wide, and 9 ft tall.  It will be used for storage for our store items and also festival equipment, too.  There is plans to build an amphitheater, with stage in front of the container.  With the growing number of our congregation members, with increased festivals and programs, there is a need for a nice place to have performances of dance, plays, music, etc... This is an on-going project and we will keep you posted on updates as they unfold.  Your generous donations will help assist in this worth-while project.

Preaching at Umstead State Park

More than 30 college students and young professionals from around the country camped in Umstead State Park, on the weekend of May 27th to learn more about Hindu spirituality and culture.   The weekend included yoga and meditation, bhajans and Puja, talk and discussions, games and sports, garba and bhangra, and much, much more.
