Sri Krishna Janmashtami, is an annual festival that celebrates the birth (janma) of Lord Krishna, on the eight (ashtami) day of the month of Bhadrapada (August-September) as the eight son of Devaki and Vasudeva. 

This festival is the most grand celebration of the year, not to be missed. Festivities include:

The aratika (light offering)  | Grand Abhishek ceremony | 8 hours live kirtans | Dahi handi (pot breaking) | Fun children activities | Children costume contest (dress your child as Krishna or His devotees) | Boat festival | Govinda’s Food court and delicious prasadam

Event Schedule

7:30 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. – Darshan of Sri Sri Radha Golokananda with special Midnight Aratika

4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. – 8-Hour Live Kirtans & Bhajans Chanting the Holy Names of Krishna

5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Cultural Programs Dance + Drama performances & Children Costume Contest

7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. – Radha Krishna Boat Festival 

8:00 p.m. – Dahi Handi Commemorating Lord Krishna breaking butter pots.

7:30 p.m. & 12:30 a.m. – Maha Prasadam Feast Opulent delicious feast will be served free to everyone. 

9:00 p.m. – Grand Abhishek Ceremony Radha Krishna will be bathed with various auspicious ingredients like milk, yogurt, and honey.
